What is a Multicultural Community Advancement Officer?

The curriculum of the Multicultural Community Advancement Officer training program has been designed for systematic development of the required skills,
 and class content is equivalent to that offered at university level. Each course involves incremental learning consisting of at least 30 hours of basic education, 30 hours of practical education, and 10 hours of independent research—a total of at least 70 hours per academic year. The program also makes use of a course certification system.

Course Certification Program

Multicultural Community Advancement Planner program
Students complete two courses only: Analyst Course and Planner Course.
Multicultural Community Advancement Consultant program
Students complete all three courses: Analyst course, Planner Course, and Consultant Course, and thereby meet the requirements for accreditation as a Multicultural Community Advancement Officer

Project that where part-time students are involved in planning and operating

  • Japanese education project for ¨foreigners as residents in Japan¨ sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs
  • Project for Establishing an International Exchange Program sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
